THE PLAYING ACADEMY
Mission Statement
We wish to entice everyone to sample, enjoy, and prolong any participation in this sport. We believe this can be better achieved when you focus on how the game is played.

As always there is some education required but our main intention should be to play and enjoy the game, you do not have to perfect or excel to become part of the golfing world.

Our purpose is to introduce, educate and nurture that journey. We hope you join the golfing community in one shape or another, with or without our help.
We hope you would like to give us a try and find out why we are different.
HOW WE WORK
At The Playing Academy our aim is to revolutionise golf tuition. Currently golfers only take lessons to resolve a re-occurring poor shot or when they are aware their swing is failing, in others words only when "their swing or their game is broken". We want to move away from that mentality and educate players to take control of their game , develop higher skill levels and enjoy the game more with less frustration.
We offer both group and individual sessions for all abilities. Your sessions will be a mixture of on-course and training ground skill development sessions. Each session will offer the chance for you to enhance your golfing skills, inline with your individual specific improvement plan. The session may have a common theme or can be tailored to your needs either way it will contribute to improving your on-course playing ability. The sessions are open to all our clients within our various programmes.

Typical programmes will be 4 or more sessions, combining on-course playing time with a training session the following week. This is then followed by another on course session the next week, giving us the chance to ensure you have implement the suggested change into your game. Sessions are, a 2-hour on-course evaluation with training session being 90 minutes duration.
OUR IDEAS
WE GUARANTEE YOU IMPROVE AND REACH YOUR GOAL
FOR THOSE BEGINNING THE GAMEÂ WITH US
We provide a welcoming relaxed learning environment of like minded people, advancing to their individual goal. By approaching in this way you will benefit in many ways. The main gain is the support and enjoyment of being part of a community, where friendships can develop both on and away from the golf course.
FOR THE SOCIAL, NON-COMPETATIVE PLAYER
We understand you are starting with us from a more experienced position. You have played on an irregular or intermittent basis, maybe you receive the occasional corporate invite or for a friendly game with friends, you could also be a member of a golf society or golf club.
You may have gained some good and bad habits, furthermore, you may have formed some beliefs which may be of benefit and some that are hindering your development.
We start by playing, assessing and consulting to evaluate where you experience the most pain, so to speak. After careful consideration, we formulate your personal plan. Your sessions will be a combination of playing and training sessions in a group environment.
FOR COMPETITIVE PLAYERS WISHING TO BREAK PERSONAL SCORING BARRIERS
You currently play on a regular basis, you may have an official handicap and wish to take your game to the next level. You could be having golf lessons at another facility and need another perspective, we don't mind if you have lessons elsewhere, we are about your performance on the course. Our coaching is result based and we guarantee to get you to your desired outcome.
We start by assessing your game and current skill levels; we achieved this by quantifying and testing your current performance level. Throughout the process, we assess, we consult, we plan, we implement and we support you to your desired outcome.
FOR THE PLAYER WISHING TO BE THE BEST POSSIBLE VERSION OF THEMSELVES
You would have been playing for a while, possibly to a high or very high standard but seem unable to move up to the next level.
You are being held back by that one re-occurring hurdle, or an accumulation of small mishaps, that you just can’t overcome.
It could be you are not sure how to go about achieving your breakthrough, you require help in identifying the reasons for your lack of progress. You might be a player that understands their game but just requires a plan to follow and some support through that journey. We can provide the experience, knowledge and know how, to hold you accountable.
We want to share the journey with you.

JUNIOR GOLF
WHY YOUR KIDS SHOULD BE ENCOURAGED TO PLAY GOLF
Golf is a game of a lifetime. Â Every hole on the course, like every day in life is a new opportunity to experience joy. Â There are challenges and rewards. Â There is hard work, but there is luck. Â There's friendships and solidarity. Â There's solitude and reflection. Â You "never arrive" at golf, it's an endless journey and getting your child on this journey is one of the best things you can do for them. Â
Here's why,
IT'S FUN
Golf offers a variety of situation and experiences that keep kids engaged and having fun
IT"S SAFE
Golf courses are safe environments where your child can be free to play, have fun and grow.
GETTING OUTDOORS
Children today are spending too much time indoors in front of screens. Â Golf is a great way to get them out into the fresh air for hours at a time.
GETTING PHYSICALLY ACTIVE
Spending hours playing and moving is so important for the development of a child's physical literacy. Â Junior golf programmes are one of the best ways to get your child active.
QUALITY FAMILY TIME
Golf is one of the few sports that enable the entire family to be together and enjoy the same game for hours at a time.
FRIENDSHIPS
Children will learn how to acquaint themselves with others and will have many opportunities to make new friends.
RESPECT FOR SELF AND OTHERS
The tradition of etiquette in golf teaches children how to behave and treat others respectfully.
BROADER WORLDVIEW
Golf brings people from all walks of life together to share in their enjoyment of the game. Â This help children appreciate diversity.
BUSSINESS SKILLS
Golfers are faced with a variety of situations during a round that require problem solving skills and self-confidence to manage. Â These skills will be invaluable for business in later life.
SELF IMPROVEMENT
Golf challenges players to assess themselves, accept critique and look for ways to improve. Â This teaches children self-reliance.
Let them enjoy what golf has to offer.
Whether it's the immediate benefits like fun, outdoor exercise and family time or long term benefits like physical and mental development, golf has so much to offer your child. Â Give them the chance to experience it all.
